India’s largest broadband service provider , the National Internet Backbone has launched the new pre-paid broadband service.This is very much beneficial for the users who want to control their broadband usage economically. To continue the Prepaid Broadband account after its creation, the customer has to recharge his account by any of the following Unlimited/Limited plan vouchers as per user choice. The grace period is 90 days after validity. Here the various plans with details.
Initial Charges
- Installation charges: Rs 250/-
- Modem charges for outright purchase : For Type-I: Rs 1000/- (Taxes extra), For Type-2: Rs 1600/-(Taxes extra)
- In case of customer wish to use his/ her own modem only installaition charges will be taken in advance
Limited data plans
In the limited data usage plans the users will get a maximum speed of 2 mbps (256KBps). For this plans, balance usage values(if any) will be carried forward, in case of recharge withing the Grace period GP-1. After this grace period the balance will not be carried forward After expiry of the additional grace period of 75 days (GP-II), the account of the customer will be deleted.

Other points
- Charges are inclusive of all Taxes.
- option for Migration of limited to unlimited plans are available. But the balance usage will not be carry forwarded.
- Account recharge/ top up facility through BSNL portal and BSNL telecom centers.
- The validity of unlimited plans only depend upon the validity period
- The validity of limited plans depends upon both period as well as data usage ( whichever expires first)
