Samsung EPIC 4G Review and Specifications

November 11, 2010 | by

The Samsung Epic 4G comes most comfortably at a price around $250 bundled along with a two-year contract from Sprint. Well, it indeed stands way apart from the others in the line that include the Galaxy S. To start off with, while the others offer a virtual keyboard it flaunts a physical keyboard and to add to it a front-facing camera, and it also holds the prestigious position of being the second phone to run on Sprint’s 4G network.

Let me tell you the Epic 4G brings in a 4-inch Super AMOLED display. The awe-inspiring fact remains that Samsung’s Super AMOLED technology facilitates touch sensors on the display itself, quite opposing the theory of creating a separate layer. As a matter of fact this is what makes it the thinnest display technology on the market.

The Epic 4G comes along with a 5-megapixel camerawhich if not the best among the contemporary phone comes is sure to drop somewhere in between the top 5.

The phone is powered by 1GHz Hummingbird processor which makes it lightning fast. But this doesn’t hold out the fact that there are no set-backs. Issues can be faced if trying to browse while sharing some highly graphical stuff, like hi-res pics or so.

The apps are good, the screen is though a bit small if considered so, but over-all as a multimedia phone it excells undoubtedly.

Well before getting one of these you should check out with the 4G network stability in and around you or else you might end up paying $10 just for nothing. But, then if compared to Verizon or AT&T it sure is budget friendly.
