Wind U 160- The Ultra light weight thin Netbook from MSI

MSI Computers has launched a new ultra light and thin Netbook. The weight of this Netbook is only 1KG including battery and thickness is less than 1 inch .

MSI Wind 160 is powered by Intel Atom 450 processor with 2 GB DDR 2 RAM. The 10” widescreen LED backlight display consume less power and gives a battery life of 15 hours. Two color options are available – Fancy Gold and Jet Black. The scratch resistance enamel coating claims to provide high rigidity and  creates sparkling visual effect under light.

The keyboard is of chiclet type,  is comfortable for average use and minimize typing errors. The wide touch pad offers a smooth and comfortable use with a grid of raised dots to enhance the tactile effect.

Response time of the 10” widescreen LED backlight display is 8 ms which gives superior performance even for fast moving videos.

The 802.11b/g  built in wireless adaptor can be enabled within a single button click.  The multi media accessories include a 1.3 Mega Pixel integrated webcam and 2 channel sterio speakers with microphone.

Another attraction is that MSI Wind 160 is coming with an exclusive face detection software enables easy logon . This software will detect the face to logon which will log off or lock the screen when the system is not in use for a period of time.
