Questions to consider before buying it
- Should I go for it?
- Is it worth buying?
- Is there a better option than that?
Now lets take all those questions one by one.
Who should go for it?
A good step by Indian Government, and a beneficial one for those staying in remote, rural areas, aspiring geeks who didn’t received any opportunity to prove themselves. Being an Android Tablet, users may not be able to juice out what they can do or perform on a full fledge desktop. But it’s just a start to spark those million minds who are waiting to try their hands on something like this. A clear opportunity to those. Moreover, Internet bills won’t be a problem as users can surf web on their Android Tablets for price as low as 98 INR per 1 GB of data usage. Aakash Tablet provide all the features what other Android Tablets can do and that too at a very reasonable price. It’s a boon for all those who are deprived of Gadgets in this tech gen era.
Is the Tablet worth buying? NO!
Being the cheapest Android Tablet doesn’t mean that it’s a loot and order one blindly. Good morning, you are buying a gadget, do look for it’s features, your purpose for purchasing one, your budget, if it’s the only option left , than there’s no stopping by, you can order one from it’s official website. But!!
Is there a better option? YES!
Yes, if you can wait till late January 2012, the same Tablet or I would say a commercial version of the Aakash Tablet(Ubislate 7) with much better features, within the similar price range is launching. If you not aware about the difference between the two, then here’s a bird eye view of the two Android Tablets.
Specifications | Aakash Tablet | Ubislate 7 |

Connectivity Features | Wi-Fi | Wi-Fi, GPRS(SIM functionality) |

So this was the prelusion cum bird eye view of the two, Aakash Tablet and Ubislate 7, though both the Android Tablets measures the same in terms of dimensions and some other features like 3.5mm headset jack, USB port, office support, capability to play high quality videos and much more. But still, I would recommend you to wait for a better option with a similar price too. So there’s no dilemma choosing the best one out, if and only if, you can wait for a month or so. Or if you can stretch on your pockets to a little more, then these cheap Android Tablets are also worth looking for.
Those who don’t feel the need to wait, they are welcome to order Aakash Tablet and if you are waiting, then you can pre-book Ubislate(commercial Aakash Tablet).
So what’s your decision, are you waiting for it’s commercial version(Ubislate 7) or Aakash Tablet is enough to satisfy your needs? Do throw some light on this via comments.
