Asus has launched RT – AC66U A next generation dual band WiFi router in India

Today Asus has unveiled their next generation dual band WiFi router ASUS RT-AC66U features 1.75 Gbps speed by utilizing the Broadcom 802.11ac Wi-Fi controller. Asus claims Asus RT-AC66U may be the first dual band router in the world which supports the advanced 802.11ac wireless protocol, enabling 5GHz operation at up to 1.3Gbps. Broadcom’s 802.11 ac WiFi controller working on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz band gives three times better speed than 802.11n wireless routers. 802.11 ac is the new WiFi standard which is under draft mode. There are few other router models 802.11ac routers available in market but Asus RT-AC66U stands out of the crowd with added features and speed.

Asus features this product as a multifaceted 5^th generation dual band router for tech savvy enthusiasts. One thing you must always keep in mind is that a Wireless router is only a part of your network. If your network adaptors of other devices are not compatible, then can’t expect the desired result. This router is backward compatible with all other existing IEEE WiFi standards. RT-AC66U costs Rs 18000/- in India.
