Nokia unveiled the first open source Symbian phone -Features

Today Nokia has officially announced the first phone N8 in the Open source Symbian platform. The Symbian^3 Open source includes HDMI support, music integration, efficient memory management, 2D,3d graphic architecture, Modern network architecture, Efficient multi tasking, usability enhancements etc. Nokia N8 is the first mobile handset powered with this operating system.
The main highlight of this phone is its point and shoot 12 Megapixel Camera with xenon flash and Carl Zeiss lens. Dolby Surround system with an HDMI output will make this a pocket home theater system. The device is fully featured for the one click access of all social network sites. This also offers free lifetime worldwide car and walk navigation from OVI store over 70 countries.The Web TV delivers local and global TV favorites right to the home screen.
