Configure Utstar UT -330R2U ( Type-1) modem for BSNL broadband

Method to configure ADSL modem Utstar UT 330R2RU type 1 Modem (One Eternet and one USB port).
PPPoE Mode (Always ON mode)
- Connect the router to PC through Ethernet cable.
- Open the browser and type the url http://192.168.1.1.
- Type user name admin and password admin in login window.
- On left panel click on ‘WAN’ and configure the PVC0.
- Verify that VPI/VCI value as 0 / 35, Select PPPoE/PPPoA under WAN settings.
- Enter the username ( i.e. user@dataone) and password ( provided by BSNL) and select the connection type as PPPoE LLC.
- Verify that Authentication is set to PAP, Obtain DNS automatically, Default route and NAT parameters are Enabled and click on Apply.
- On top menu click on Tools and select Misc (on left panel). Click on Save & Reboot.
Bridge Mode
- Connect the router to PC through Ethernet cable.
- Open the browser and type the url http://192.168.1.1.
- Type user name admin and password admin in login window.
- On left panel click on ‘WAN’ and configure the PVC0.
- Verify that VPI/VCI value as 0 / 35, Select Bridge mode under Wan settings and save.
- On top menu click on Tools and select Misc (on left panel). Click on Save & Reboot.
- Make a PPPoE dialer in your operating system.
Making PPPoE dialer in windows XP for bridge mode
- Control panel > Network connections
- Click on create a new connection(left top) or click file then new connection click next
- Select connect to the internet and click next
- Select setup connection manually and click next
- Select connect using a broadband connection that requires a user name and password and click next
- Give ISP name BSNL and click next
- Enter user name password and confirm password assigned by BSNL and click next
- Select add a shortcut and click finish
- This will create a dialer icon on the desktop.The user can connect/disconnect broadband using the same icon.
Open my computer right click my network places (left margin)then click properties (or open network connections via control panel)
click on create a new connection(left top) or click file then new connection
click next
select connect to the internet and click next
select setup connection manually and click next
select connect using a broadband connection that requires a username and password and click next
Give ISP name BSNL and click next
Enter username password and confirm password assigned by BSNL and click next
select add a shortcut and click finish
This will create a dialler icon on the desktop.The user can connect/disconnect broadband using the same icon.
